White Water Rafting Tour (Class 4 rapids)

An adventure for the experienced paddler and physically fit, with 12 class IV rapids in 11 Km, with a gradient drop of 1.8% gives you 2 Hours of pure adrenaline, with the nature rich scenery of the lower section. Probably the most exciting white water rafting run ride in Costa Rica only for the experienced and fit. The rapids listed bellow will test your ability and physical shape:

This tour

• Certify class IV rapids guides .and safety kayakers

• We require minimum 3 persons per ride, ridden regularly from May 31 to December 31, and on other dates depending on river conditions.

• For your safety, we reserve the right to approve the guests for this tour, according to experience and abilities, and skip sections of the tour or even cancel this tour due to water levels.

• Transportation from Pozo Azul to the upper Sarapiquí River launching site at San Miguel Bridge

• Fitting life vests and safety helmets.

• Safety instructions followed by practice of commands and sitting arrangements on the boats.

• Although the monsoon every year may change river configuration , the eight best known class IV rapids as known by 2005 on the tour are as follows:

• Café de la mañana (Morning coffee)
• La Cueva ( the cave)
• Quiebra codos (elbow breaker)
• Dos locos ( two crazy guys)
• Peraltico
• La Tubería ( the pipe line)
• Terminator
• Bananas

• Energizing fresh local fruits during the ride.

• Take out at the Hacienda Pozo Azul facilities, for shower and changing

Needed: experience and good physical condition, swim shorts and rubber sole feet ware
