Hacienda Pozo Azul with its privileged location has access to literally hundreds of kilometers of back roads. Through some of the most beautiful country you've ever seen.. and there's no traffic!

Aside from the many activities you can enjoy while in Hacienda Pozo Azul, we have though about the mountain bike lovers, so you too, bike fan, can also have an exiting experience. We have identify for you very exciting different routes to match different levels of difficulty. And they range from 2 hours to a two day experience combined with a stay at our exciting Magsasay jungle lodge.

The tropical very humid rain forest climate of the Sarapiquí Valley has carved through the ages a network of natural drainage system which converts this valley in a series of hills and brooks. Back roads go through these hills minimizing the ups and downs, creating pleasant and varied scenery with moderate difficulty.

The road surfaces then become important because of the same excess of rain and the effect on roads. Most of them are dirt with gravel which soon becomes absorbed by the soft surface making it somewhat muddy, but still very enjoyable.
