Tour to the Reforestation, on horse back or walking

Trees planted in 1997 and 1998 in a program designed by Fundecor, includes 2 exotic fast growing varieties Melina (gmelina), and Teak (tectona grandis), and 4 native species Roble Coral (Terminalia amasonica); Pilon (Hieronima alchornoides), Cebo (Vochisia guatemalensis), Bota Rama ( Vochisia ferruginea). You will learn of the process of curing the young wood trees and their usage for all construction in Hacienda Pozo Azul.  2 hours riding (recommended).

Hiking Tour to the Mirador

Follows a trail following the Peje River (bordering the park), to a Vista Point with impressive view of the Park through a canyon of the Peje. Coming back to the Lodge can be done through various alternatives depending how much time and energy you want to invest. 2 to 4 hours.

Hiking Tour to the Altosano

Follows the Peje River bordering the park towards the south, going through a crystal clear water hole where you can take a break from the hike. You will enjoy the wonderful vistas at El Altosano (Healthy Hill) as well as the impressive trees on the primary forest. 3 hours

Tour to the Cattle Breeding Operation on horseback

You can join our skillful "vaqueros" on their daily round to inspect the various herds to identify and help new born calf, observe fence condition and pasture rotation as needed. You will see these skilful vaqueros work and admire the surroundings while spotting a mot-mot, a trogon or an Ibis. 4 hours, every morning.

This crystal clear swimming hole at only 20 minutes from the lodge can be turn into a morning activity of relaxation while looking at the fish life at the river

Swimming at the "Jacuzzi"

The Jacuzzi as we call the water whole right in of the lodge invites you to enjoy its crystal clear, cool waters in the shade to be used at any time one feels hot, which can be often during a sunny day.

Soccer field for groups.

Popular for the soccer loving groups of Costa Rican, "the Maracana" as is called after the largest soccer stadium in the world (Rio de Janeiro), Although not really big, It is enjoy by groups for any other activity , along with the pulperia (general store) and the salon communal (town's meeting saloon) right next to it .
